Context

A range of gaming products and professional services that had to be reimagined to meet new regulatory standards while simplifying integration for businesses.

Challenge

The existing system could not meet the new regulations, and several work streams needed one shared architecture and one set of conventions.

Approach

  • Analyzed the existing system and designed a new platform against the regulatory requirements.
  • Defined the architecture and technical approach for new services, built with Node.js, Kafka, Socket.IO, and Angular Module Federation on AWS.
  • Authored viewpoints, coding conventions, developer guidelines, and OpenAPI 3 specifications.
  • Estimated and broke down work across multiple work streams, and reviewed designs and pull requests.

Result

  • One documented architecture and set of conventions shared by all work streams.
  • Services delivered on AWS EKS, with SonarQube and Aqua Security in the pipeline.
